Law Enforcement Awards Committee Member Doug Cole presented the Amen Corner Scholarship to Cadet Jacob Soloman at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy Graduation Ceremony, held December 15, 2023, at the Academy. Doug is the long-time Police Chief in Monroeville. 

Jacob is a graduate of Shaler High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Political Science, with a concentration in Homeland Security. He held numerous leadership positions in high school and college and served as a Junior Firefighter for the Reserve Township Volunteer Fire Department.

In December, Amen Corner held our socially distant annual general meeting. It's been a tough year for our club. However we are gearing up for 2021 and hope to be able to see all of you then!

In the meantime, Amen Corner has made a donation to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in memory of our long time member and dear friend Thomas McCaffery who sadly passed away in 2019.
